Steph & Matt - Hanbury, UK (Date of Stay: June 2009)
We stayed at Le Clos du Rouvre for five nights over my husband's birthday and had a lovely time.
We travelled by car from England to France - the location was easy to find and the journey was about 5 hours from Calais.
Once there, we were amazed about the beautiful property, the scenic garden and swimming pool. On our arrival, the owner welcomed us very warm and showed us around the entire property and was really helpful during our stay.
The Farmhouse, cottages and grounds are all well-maintained and clean.
We can recommend this property as a romantic getaway, but as well for a family holiday and will definitely return next year - we could have easily filled 10 more days with sight seeing, beach trips, etc.
sjlfamily Ayr, Scotland (Date of Stay: July 2009)
An easily accessed and beautifully maintained property with plenty of amenities for a large mixed age group. We've been twice and would certainly consider returning again. The gite is close enough to St Malo, Dinard, Dinan and Mont St Michel for easy sightseeing.
The pool is a huge selling point for the children and we have spent days just sitting reading by the pool while they make the most of it!
The local produce is excellent and again, if you get the weather barbequeing is a positive pleasure!
Le Clos is a fabulous house, particularly for family groups and the fact that there are 4 bathrooms in the house is a major plus.
If you are looking for a relaxing family group holiday, I would highly recommend Le Clos.
Gloria Joy - Wageningen, Netherlands (Date of Stay: July 2008)
With 15 women from our association (all independent women, age 19-28) we had the plan to go on a relax/ culture holiday. We hired the house because it seemed very romantic, nearby nice towns and nature, and it had space to play outside/swim.
We had a lovely week there, and that was not in the last place because of the house. The weather was bad and therefore we had to spent more ime inside than we thought, especially in the evenings. The 2 living rooms were big enough for us 15 to relax or play games, the rooms had nice hot showers/ bathtubs! and the DVD-players did their work. On better days we used the pool or went for a ride to Rennes, St Malo, or Dinan, or for a walk in the nature nearby. Without a lovely house like this, our holiday would have looked a lot more less sunny!

Jette B Aarhus, Denmark (Date of Stay: July 2008)
We (Danish family of 4 w/2 teenage daugthers) enjoyed a great week in Britanny in July in La Loge. We were impressed with the very well-equipped Breton stone cottage (nice and cool), the lovely garden and pool area, table tennis, and many games and books provided. Also, the location is ideal for relatively short day trips to the nearby towns of Dinan, Dinard, Rennes and St.Malo - all very enjoyable and highly recommendable.

Antony & Brenda - London (Date of Stay: September 2008)
We (2 adults, a 2 year old and a baby) had a lovely time in the little cottage called L'Ecurie where we stayed for 2 weeks in September 2008. Alan, the owner, was always helpful and made sure we had everthing we needed. Our two year old enjoyed the playground and unlimited access to the different outdoor games equipment available. There was enough space and games and activities at the cottage to keep us amused even when the weather was bad. It is also ideally located for day trips to nearby Dinan, Dinard, St Malo and other sandy beaches when the sun comes out. The cottage was very well equipped with everything that we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the relaxing atmosphere and tranquillity of the location.

Hazel and Graham Romford, Essex (Date of Stay: September 2008)
After our daughter's wedding the rest of the family needed time to relax and unwind. We certainly experienced this at Le Clos. The house was well equipped and very comfortable, our only problem was that with our particular grouping we could have done with a seperate toilet/bathroom in addition to the four en-suites, which left two bedrooms without facilities. We enjoyed the bbq but it was two chilly in early September to use the pool. We went exploring the local area every day and especially enjoyed Dinan and Le Mont St Michel. Our fifteen month old grandaughter started crawling in Le Clos so that will always be a fond memory.
